Sky Smith is a half-Japanese, half-American actor based in New York City. He was recently in the Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, directed by Kenny Leon and featuring Jim Parsons and Katie Holmes, and last performed Off-Broadway in Julia Izumi’s zany comedy Regretfully, So the Birds Are at Playwrights Horizons, directed by Jenny Koons.

Sky performed in the Disney/ABC Discovers: Talent Showcase, one of twelve actors selected by ABC Network following a nationwide search, and he faced off against James Spader in a guest spot on The Blacklist.

Sky assisted Neil Pepe on the world premiere of A Play is a Poem by Ethan Coen at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. He was also a directing apprentice on the Disney/ABC showcase after performing as an actor. Sky directs at NYU.

Sky grew up overseas as the son of two journalists, spending time in Shanghai, Paris, and Hong Kong before settling down in New York. He received his BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, training at Atlantic Theater Company. IG: @sky.smi
